What we collect
- Address you enter. The street address you look up or order a report for. It is the core of the service.
- Email address. Provided at checkout or on the My reports page, used to send your report link and to respond to support requests.
- Order details. Order and report IDs, the product, amount, payment status, the matched address and its coordinates, timestamps (including when the report was generated), and the report itself (the PDF and its summary data).
- Payment information. Payments are handled entirely by Stripe. We do not receive or store your full card number. We receive confirmation of payment, the amount and Stripe reference IDs.
- Technical data. Your IP address and basic request information, used to run the service, prevent abuse and enforce rate limits.
- Messages you send us when you contact support.
Stripe Checkout collects the cardholder name and billing details needed to take payment; we do not store your name in our order record. We do not ask for your phone number or insurance details to use the service.
How we use it
- To match your address and build and deliver your report.
- To take payment, send your link, and let you find your reports again.
- To provide support, handle refunds and disputes, and keep records we are required to keep.
- To secure the service and prevent fraud and abuse.
We do not sell your personal information and we do not use it for advertising.
Where the data comes from, and who sees it
To produce a report your address is sent to the US Census Bureau geocoder to find its coordinates, and the coordinates are used to read public NOAA NCEI radar hail detections and to fetch an aerial photo from USGS The National Map. The Census Bureau, NOAA and USGS are public-data sources and do not receive your email. We also use service providers who process data on our behalf: Stripe for payments, Resend to send your report link by email, and hosting and infrastructure providers. They may use the data only to provide their service to us. We may disclose information when required by law or to protect against fraud or abuse.
Cookies
These pages do not set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Stripe’s checkout page, which is operated by Stripe, uses its own cookies as described in Stripe’s privacy policy.
How long we keep it
We currently keep your order record and report so you can download it again from My reports. A retention schedule will be set before this policy takes effect.
Your choices
You can ask us what we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete your order record, by contacting support: Support contact coming soon (please write from the address on your order). We review each request. Depending on where you live you may have additional rights under local privacy laws.
Children
The service is intended for adults buying a report about a property. It is not directed to children.
Changes
If we change this notice we will update the effective date above.
